On Making Decisions

If the consequence of a  seemingly complex decision is small, just go ahead and make a bloody decision! Every moment lost in getting more facts for a simple decision is considered a failure!
The first thing that you have to consider in making a decision is to understand the risk involved in the event of a
failure.  If the risk is relatively small, be courageous,  take charge, and decide! If every you fail, you fail fast and get back up faster.  - Gary Coombe, P&G Europe Group President.

Yesterday I thank God for...

Yesterday, I thank God for Good Doctors and Good Neighbors.
Thank you for good doctors who connects with patients at a personal level while being objective with diagnosis and treatment.
Thank you for good neighbors who looks over your household when you're away. :)

Prayer Works

I can vividly remember 2 instances in my life where I prayed really hard. First was when I was taking my CPA board exams,  and the next was asking for children after 3 years of being married.
While I didn't become a CPA like how everyone, including myself, thought I would be, I ended up with P&G, a great company to work for with a strong sense of Purpose, Values, and Principles, which made me feel proud to work for since day 1.  Have I been a CPA, I could have left P&G after 3 months and worked in an auditing firm and eventually faced the brutal world of a praticing CPA.   Ending up in P&G is something that I consider as an answered prayer because I ended up getting what I really wanted which is something that I didn't initially realize.
Next was when I started praying for Ebeth and I to have a family of our own.  It took years of prayers, patience, and maturity before God granted us not just 1 but 2 children (twins!).  After almost 9 years of being married, we were finally granted our wish.  It took a lot of patience in prayer as it moved  me to complete a Christmas novena mass in 2014 for the very first time in my 36 years of existence.  Even though my prayer wasn't answered in 2014, I again found myself completing another set of Christmas novena masses in 2015,  Little did I know that after a months, Ebeth will become pregnant, and we eventually got blessed with twin boys last September 26th! This made me realize that apparently, each "simbang gabi" set that I finished  corresponded to one baby! :) hehehe.
These 2 stories are a testament to the power of prayer and persistence.  I'm currently writing this for myself to remind me that prayer DOES work.  We just need to have the right character and mindset while waiting. :)
