My Daily Morning Habit - Fresh Calamansi

Since March 4, 2011, I've started drinking Fresh Calamansi (Philippine Lemon) Juice --This is freshly squeezed from 28 pieces of calamansi ---PURE: NO WATER, NO SWEETENER. I learned this from Bo Sanchez's Healthy Habits, it sounded crazy at first but I gave it a shot anyway since the person seems to be credible enough to know what he is talking about. He said it was supposed to give the body very powerful natural Vitamin C and gives my body it's good balance of Alkaline.

To prepare my system for it, I started with 4 pcs last March 4 then added 4 pieces daily until i reached 28 pieces last March 10 and took the same volume from that day on. :) No food, no water after taking it in first thing in the morning so that the body can fully absorb its benefits.

Since March 4 until today, I have approximately consumed around 450 pieces of calamansi! Way more than what I have consumed in my whole lifetime (I'm 32 now). So far, It has cured by cough which bothered mesince January 31 when I had my flu, and somehow cured my hyper acidity. Of course, the effects is only expected to be visible in the long term since this practice didn't promise an overnight benefit, but I'm glad i'm seeing positive effects this early (though it might also be psychological, but hey, it works for me). Bo said that this habit will start to show its benefits after a year, and even greater benefits in the long term since it's investing in your health. :)

Calamansi is relatively cheap compared to bottled drinks and synthetic vitamins! Basically I have nothing to loose, and all to gain...hence I'll just keep on "squeezing" daily. :)

Knowledge and Humility

"the more you know, the more you don't know"

People who usually boast a lot are usually the ones who still has a lot to learn. Always be humble and never fail to keep an open mind to endless possibilities and perpectives. You can never know everything. Ever.

Pineapple slices

I am currently eating pineapples now at the office, these are the pre-cut ones that you buy at the chilled section of the supermarket.

I recall when I was small, mom used to give me round pineapple slices from a Dole can and thought that that's how Pineapples should looked like.

I remember when I first saw pineapple slices that were cut vertically, apparently it didn't look too appetizing so I decided not to eat it back then. Plus, there's no sugar syrup that usually comes with canned pineapple slices so I also never thought that pineapples can sometimes be very sour. :P

It was only later on when I realized that round pineapple slices were actually machine cut, and thus explains the precise unusual shape of the pineapple slices.

Oh well, another testament to my sheltered life. :P

Learnings on Investment from Bo Sanchez

WISE WAY TO INVEST YOUR MONEY:

Step 1: Invest 10% in your Eternity
Step 2: Invest 20% in your Maturity
Step 3: Invest 70% in your Family

1. Invest In Your Future Before Your Present
Strategy to become poor: Income – Expense = Tithes & Investments
Strategy to become rich: Income – Tithes & Investments = Expense

2. Enjoy The Simple Before The Complex
"If you’re not going to simplify your life, you’ll find a way to spend your money—no matter how much money you have."

"Here’s the Law for getting wealthy: As your Blessings grow, your Spendings should grow in a slower way"

"If you want to be wealthy, you need to be content. Don’t be content with what you earn, but be content with what you own. Don’t be content with what you earn because you’re not only thinking of yourself. You want to earn as much as you can because you want to give as much as you can."

3. Enjoy People Before Things
"Here’s the key: Save your money, yes, but spend your money to enjoy the deeper things of life. In other words, enjoy people before things."

"At the end of the day, it’s people who will make you happy."
